MLB Home Run Derby Alonso won in 2019 and last year (there was no All-Star event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Joining Alonso this year is the national team’s Juan Soto, and Ronan. Old Acuna Jr. of the Braves, Kyle Schwarber of the Eagles, Albert Pujols of the Cardinals, and rookie Julio Rodriguez. MLB Home Run Derby rules in 2022
MLB Home Run Derby The Home Run Derby has a one-on-one format with an eight-man bracket. The champion must win three rounds by hitting more home runs than the opponent in the allotted time.
The first and second rounds of the derby will last three minutes. The last round lasted two minutes. All contestants get 30 seconds of bonus time after each round. Hitters can earn an additional 30 seconds of bonus time if they hit a home run that measures at least 475 feet in regulation range for that round.
When a player hits a home run the clock will stop and the cycle will end. Whoever hits the most home runs will play each head-to-head matchup until the winner is determined.
A home run is counted as long as the pitch leaves the pitcher’s hand before the timer runs out.
Hitler had one in each lap. The timeout lasts 45 seconds. Timeouts are not allowed during the bonus period.

MLB Home Run Derby Start on the left side of the curly brace. I’ll take Schwarber over Pujols and national team phenom, Juan Soto, over Jose Ramirez, I’ll take Soto over Schwarber to make the finals.
On the right side of the line, I’d go with Alonso over Ronald Acuna Jr. Don’t be surprised if this is the most exciting matchup of the first round. I’ll bring Corey Seager back to Dodger Stadium, and 21-year-old Mariners rookie Julio Rodriguez in another game. Alonso would take Cigar to the final.
I’m leading Pete Alonso to beat Juan Soto in the finals. Alonso’s 24 home runs are second only to Schwarber. And we already know that he succeeds in this environment. Maybe we’re just cool suckers. But we’ll pick Alonso as a three-peat.
