Katie Taylor, who has a career record of 20-0, will compete for the first time this year. She is an Olympic gold medalist and will defend her WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles.
Amanda Serrano (42-1-1) will also enter the ring for the first time this year. Serrano has won 28 consecutive fights. Taylor, 35, puts her undisputed lightweight championship on the line against world seven-weight champion Serrano in what is billed as the biggest fight ever in women’s boxing.
If she wins, Serrano will become the first fighter to beat decorated amateur Taylor in the professional ranks.

Saturday night will be a momentous night in New York as Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano face off in the main event at Madison Square Garden.

On April 30, Katie Taylor defends her status as the undisputed lightweight champion against Amanda Serrano. That history-making fight won’t be the only important female bout to take place inside Madison Square Garden.
Franchon Crews-Dezurn and Elin Cederroos will battle it out to determine the undisputed super-middleweight champion. Crews-Dezurn is the WBC and WBO champion, while Cederroos is the WBA and IBF champion.
