Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Mikuru Asakura An exhibition world tour of Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues on Sunday when the former pound-for-pound king takes on MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura under the Rizin promotion from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Mikuru Asakura Mayweather retired for good in August 2017 when he stopped UFC superstar Conor McGregor. From that point on, Mayweather only had exhibition contests against Tenshin Nasukawa, Logan Paul, and most recently, Don Moore in May.

 

Asakura is a 10-year MMA veteran, competing in various Japanese promotions, including becoming the featherweight and lightweight champion under the RINGS promotion.

Also on the card, another representative of the country-host Nadaka Yoshinari and Bandasak So Trakunpet of Thailand meet in a three-round 117-pound kickboxing clash. In addition, local Miura Kota and Thai Bunchuai Phonsungnoen faceoff in a three-round 150-pound MMA contest. The full fight card can be found below.
