Arab Cup U20 Morocco and Palestine completed the line-up for the 2022 U-20 Arab Cup quarter-finals after the North Africans beat their Asian counterparts 1-0 at the Damac Stadium in Abha recently.

 

With the victory, Morocco is first in Group F with a maximum of six points, while Palestine, despite the defeat, advanced as one of the best second-placed teams in the competition with three points. Both teams beat the other team in the group, Sudan, earlier in the tournament.

 

Morocco’s winning goal was scored by Anas Mimouni in the 84th minute.

Along with Morocco and Palestine, the other five winners of the groups will go to the round of 16: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia, and they will be joined by Yemen, the second of the best-placed runners-up.

In Sunday’s quarter-finals, Saudi Arabia will face Yemen, Egypt, and Morocco in an all-Africa clash, Jordan will face Palestine and Algeria will face neighbors Tunisia.
