Arab Cup U20 Saudi Arabia reached the quarter-finals of the 2022 U-20 Arab Cup after beating Iraq 4-1 at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Abha on Tuesday night.
This victory means that the young Falcons are first in Group A with a maximum of six points from two games, while Mauritania is second with three points. Iraq, in third place, was eliminated without points.
Arab Cup U20 The Saudi national team took the lead after nine minutes through Abdullah Radif, only for Musab Al-Juwair to double the score after 31 minutes. Iraq’s Abboud Rabah reduced the deficit two minutes later, but Radif restored Saudi’s two-goal advantage almost immediately with his second goal of the game.

Arab Cup U20 Algeria vs. Tunisia in the first quarter-final. The Desert Foxes defeated Lebanon 2-1, then needed two goals in the final 20 minutes to beat Libya 3-1 and take first place.
With all five goals from different players, Tunisia will be wary even though it was much easier for them. A clinical 3-0 win over Bahrain was followed by a 6-0 rout of Djibouti. Three goals were scored by Aziz Abed, who is only one behind Radif on the scorers’ list.

Arab Cup U20 The last eight are completed by Egypt and Morocco. The Pharaohs beat Oman 1-0 and then Somalia 2-0 and their progress to the knockout stages never looked in doubt. Morocco, meanwhile, had to come from behind in their opener to beat a thrilling Sudan side 4-2, then had to wait six minutes from time to beat Palestine 1-0.

Arab Cup U20 Morocco and Palestine completed the line-up for the 2022 U-20 Arab Cup quarter-finals after the North Africans beat their Asian counterparts 1-0 at the Damac Stadium in Abha recently.
With the victory, Morocco is first in Group F with a maximum of six points, while Palestine, despite the defeat, advanced as one of the best second-placed teams in the competition with three points. Both teams beat the other team in the group, Sudan, earlier in the tournament.
Morocco’s winning goal was scored by Anas Mimouni in the 84th minute.
Along with Morocco and Palestine, the other five winners of the groups will go to the round of 16: Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia, and they will be joined by Yemen, the second of the best-placed runners-up.
In Sunday’s quarter-finals, Saudi Arabia will face Yemen, Egypt, and Morocco in an all-Africa clash, Jordan will face Palestine and Algeria will face neighbors Tunisia.
